My Book Review: The Missing Ones by Patricia Gibney

The Missing Ones: An absolutely gripping thriller with a jaw-dropping twist (Detective Lottie Parker Book 1) by [Gibney, Patricia]
My Review and Thoughts:

This starts right out. It leaves no stone unturned in the department of mystery and suspense. Thick murder and a reality of unknown clues that slowly unfold. You the reader are drawn to the story and the characters end up becoming an emotional baggage of personas that linger in one’s mind. You have a mixed bag of characters, from childhood flashbacks, to present day detectives, to murder victims. From one story line to the next the book unfolds in graphic detail. A thick paced mystery that only builds the conclusion awaiting the reader.

The author takes you inside the investigation of murder. Murders in the present linked to a darkness of humanity in the past. Your main Detectives Lottie and Boyd go about undercovering a web of secrets and lies, but most of all a hidden darkness of the paste that now has surfaced again. Sarah and James both reporters have dug deep into a past, there past and stirred the pot bringing forth hidden figures that now wish to silence them. Murder victims become pawns in a thick plot of what the hell is happening. Why the murders? Why are two co-workers murdered? This all comes into play and creates a wonderful suspense mystery.

Murder, corruption, violence, past buried secrets.

This is like taking all the good British murder mysteries and weaving a tale needing to be told even though it’s a fictional reality, the plot seems like a possible reality.

Would I Return to Again? Once was enough but I will continue to read anything brought out by the author. The Author showcases a wonderful way of telling a story, solid with mystery and wonderful characters.

Would I Recommend: Absolutely. Any murder mystery fan. Any crime fan will take to this book and enjoy the ultimate outcome to this little book of mystery and suspense.
