My Book Review: The Flu by Jacqueline Druga

My Review and Thoughts:

A scary thought haunts me. I am a germ freak. The idea of a killer bug, virus. A simple cold, or a deadly murderer known as the Flu. This is a very memorable story just for the fact the idea is possible, and the ordeal of passing a killer flu from one person to the other is haunting, scary, and very disturbing.

The book flows with an ease, and the strongest point to the book is the likable characters. The dread and horrible horror, of the outbreak flu, killing, adds to the tension, and ultimate fear. I feel the book is a good read, tight, tense, and truly gets under your skin, and makes you think, believe, and leaves a lasting impression.

Some will like more than others. The story does add a love story in the mix. I felt the characters where fleshed out. I ultimately thought the story worked with great detail. I felt the author made you apart of the story. Made you enter the story with all its moments of emotions and scary reality.

The story was descriptive. Gave you the imagery as if it was happening before your eyes. You became part of the survival. You understood the plight of all those involved. The ideas where logical, vivid and brutal. I thought the story was a great fictional setting that is plausible.

Would I Return to it Again: No, once was enough, not because it was bad, just because I was satisfied. And the ideas freak me out, and so that means the book left a lasting reality on me, the germ freak, the Hand Sanitizer Poster Boy.

Would I Recommend: To a select audience. Those who love a scary reality with drama added.
